Frequently asked questions

The practical details. Don't see your question? We're happy to help.

What are check-in and checkout times?

Check-in is after 3:00 PM and checkout is before 10:00 AM. Check-in is self-service with a door code, so you can arrive on your own schedule.

How many people can stay?

Three bedrooms + loft and two bathrooms is great for up to ten guests. The downstairs level features a full bathroom, private bedroom with two queen size beds, and a laundry facility. The upstairs main-level has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a king size bed, plus a full bathroom. The upper level loft has two queen size beds. We ask that larger groups be mindful of water usage, as our home runs on a sensitive septic system.

Is there parking and EV charging?

Guests can enjoy garage parking while staying at the Starlight Loft. Two cars can comfortable park in the garage, leaving room for two additional vehicles on the driveway. Electric vehicles may be charged inside the garage.

Is there Wi-Fi and a place to work?

Fast Wi-Fi runs throughout, and there's a dedicated workspace with a monitor, an ergonomic chair, and a printer — comfortable for a remote workday.

What's the kitchen like?

A full chef's kitchen with a gas range and oven, dishwasher, and the coffee setup of your dreams: espresso machine, Nespresso, Keurig, and a drip maker. Cooking basics, dishes, wine glasses, and a BBQ grill on the deck are all there.

Is The Starlight Loft good for families?

The home is designed with families and groups in mind! Two bedrooms and one bath on the main floor, plus a private bedroom and bathroom downstairs creates a lot of flexibility. The top level loft has a double-width desk, kids books, and two additional beds for sleeping options. Parents will appreciate the portable crib, booster seat, high chair, kids' books and toys, children's dinnerware, and board games for all ages. Please note that the ship's ladder leading to the loft is NOT suitable for young children. Adult supervision is required at all times.

How is the top level loft area accessed?

The guest-favorite loft is reached by a rather steep wooden ship's ladder in the living room. Guests who prefer a bedroom with a door should stick to the two guest rooms on the main level or downstairs.

Where exactly is it?

Located on the south side of town, the aptly named Mountainaire neighborhood is one of Flagstaff's best kept secrets. A quick 3 minute drive off (Exit 333 off of the I-17) takes you into a quiet, unpretentious residential neighborhood that is completely surrounded by Coconino National Forest. For privacy, the exact address is shared after you book.

Do you allow pets?

No Pets: To keep our home allergen-free for all guests, we have a strict no-pet policy.
